New Designers 2006
Today is the first day of the New Designers Exhibition at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. It will showcasing the work and talent of Britain’s leading graduate designers. The largest exhibition of its kind, New Designers will attract aroud 14,000 visitors.Along with fifteen other Brunel graduates, I will be exhibiting my final year project ’11:59′, which will be running as part of a showreel during the exhibition.
I learnt a great deal from my first major exhibition at Made In Brunel and I have not doubt this show will also be a great experience.

In the run up to the New Designers show I wasn’t expecting a great deal from the show. I understood that maybe visitors weren’t really looking for students to work in the film industry. Having said that, I must say the two days that I’ve been exhibiting have been a blast! The show was not what I expected and. There was a buzzing atmosphere of visitors some of which were from industry looking for talented graduates to fill particular whether that be a 3D animator, graphic designer, flash guru or web designer.
I’ve had a chance to speak to some really nice people. Today I showed visitors my portfolio that I’ve been working on in Flash, although it’s not yet fully there, I think the people who I had a chance to speak were impressed. Not only by the variety of work, but also by the standard of the work.
Other students from different universities around the UK liked our Made In Brunel stands, which were built in-house at the University.
So tomorrow is the last day I will be exhibiting, but I have no doubt it will also be a good day.
